a Platoon is usually 4 armor (tanks) units or with artillery, 3 (AA,howitzers,AT-guns) pieces strong.
If you mean engineering/supply platoons they have several 2-6 trucks or half-tracked vehicles and a command car,2-3 AA-vehicles.
Some have also a couple of bmw-sidecar motorbikes.

Well what do you know,made a real find in the local used bookstore. In mint condition a Naval Warship book from 1946 with over 6000 ships with pictures and good specifications on tecnical data. It does have it's drawbacks,there are no info on ships that where sunk in wartime operations unless there ...

For my part those numbers are final,i haven't found additional info for * marked ships. MFP is a real question mark,did it really use only 6400litres of fuel for a huge range on nearly 2000km??? I think the problem lies in big ships,there missing one Zero... 1000tons of fuel is 1 000 000 litres 1 ton is 1000kg/1000 litres Gato class submarine 94,000-114,000 GALLONS of fuel = 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters So that gives the amount of 355790-431490 litres. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gato_cl...
