This is a great idea Katana! One of the problems in developing applications is that it takes a lot of effort to document the code. With a Wiki all users can add documentation on the aspects of SEOW that are important to them (just like Wikipedia articles come from the community).

So I urge all SEOW users to visit katana's SEOWiki and help out. Katana needs an English admin for the site too - anyone interested?

I have been unsuccessful in contacting Katana (his email is bouncing back my messages). I would like to use his SEOWiki for documenting the latest release. Until Katana gets back to us, I will document the new features here at the Official SEOW Forum.

Very nice! The Wiki is a great way to organize the SEOW and get others involved.

What does "an English admin" need to do?

Hi Thud,

I'm Frenchman and my English is bad.
I unsterstand very good but I can't to write a correct sentence !!!

I constructed in parallel a French-speaking community on SEOW with on-line run system (new version of DCS!) and I can't be in charge of everything and I have not already a lot of time as it.

I like to find a manager for the Doc English wiki for these reasons and also to acquire more competences which I do not have on wiki system.

If you want, let's go, You're welcone on board!

Cheers,
Katana

PS : I still have some small modifications on the accommodation on wiki before

Sure, I'll help you out. Just let me know when you're ready for me to start.

I wouldn't worry too much about your English. You guys do better than most of us. :P

Great to see this!

If you wish I can write up some information on the 'B16Enk Uniform Server' too, for inclusion on the Wiki.

If you need any more English speaking assistance with the Wiki then by all means give me a yell.

Actually, we do! The Wiki gives us a great vehicle where the SEOW community can document their favourite features themselves - a bit like Wikipedia. We would like to see all things SEOW documented at SEOWiki, including add-ons. People will need a Wiki account before they can contribute documentation material - that's where Thud comes in as English-speaking admin.

I agree. B16Enk has a lot of experience with the SEOW that I do not. I think he would be a great person to assist. 8)

LOL, I dunno.
I don't seem to be able to create an account on the Wiki, looks like I might be terminally technically challenged :)

No worries M8. I'm all thumbs.

Katana and 4shades, if you would, please give us a little direction (instructions) on how you want us to manage it. I'm assumes that it runs parallel with a page written in French?

With your permission, I would like to add a few other sections. Some examples would be where players can record their campaigns so that others can see which maps are being used and their comments on how the campaign. Another would be a list of squadrons who are actively using SEOW.

I just did some digging. On the main page, in the left column there is a "Special Pages" link under Tools. In the list of special pages you will find a "Log in / create account" page.

Thud, feel free to add things as you see fit. I will concentrate on technical documentation of the core platform. B16Enk, pester Thud to get a page for your software. Together, with others, we will mould SEOW Wiki into something beautiful.
