This might not be the right forum but since I cannot see SEOW without HSFX and the other way around I am writing it here. I am quite sure we have some people experianced with it here p
I have been running smaller SEOW campaigns before and are aware of firewall/router setup and that the dedicated server runs on a standard Il2 installation, not the dedicated Dogfight server version.
I am currently not interested in setting it up with Rnzoli's software.
We discussed this a few years back but my hardware was and is still not moderne enough for to make it worth his while, (my decision, not his) although I thank him for his time and willingness to do it anyway
It is still just a testbed
The server specs
Very old dual CPU with 2x2GHz & 2GB RAM (originally it had 4GB)
Display adaptor: Radeon 1950 Pro
Windows XP Pro x64 Edition
OS on a 36GB raptor HDD
HSFX6 Personal Edition on a 74GB Raptor HDD
I have remote access with Microsoft Remote Desktop but this won't show 3D.
I have heard somewhere that TeamViewer is the way to go, so it installed but it is impossible for me to press the buttons in IL-2 when the game is running
Any suggestions?
I would also like to know what the best CPU resource allocation is:
Adjust for performance of:
* Programs?
or
* Background services?
Memory usage
* Programs?
or
* System cache?
Thanks

teamviewer is the right program to use, you'll have to setup your "ingame mouse sensitivity" to low settings....
on my server this is the part of conf.ini in question
[rts_mouse]
SensitivityX=0.1
SensitivityY=0.1
Invert=0
SensitivityZ=1.0
setup your server to CPU for programs and memory usage for programs....., also, I use a program called CPU Control to assign different cores to different processes (Il2.exe gets its own core to work with)
cheers
