Unknown Pilot

Post by Zoi »

What would cause the DCS to through up an error that says something like unknown pilot and then leave some human pilots stats empty?

Check the mission eventlog.
If a player disconnected during the briefing, once reconnected IL2 gives him a different callsign (as "callsign(0)") .
DSC parser is confused by eventlogs with such informations.
You can simply edit the eventlog (deleting redundant informations) and relaunch the analisis.

I am happy to fix bugs like this. But no-one has yet presented me with a proper bug report, e.g.

1. The DCS error listing (from the clipboard)
2. The corresponding eventlog

Cheers,

I will be more diligent 4Shades.

As it happens I had a viral event (as in my anti virus program behaved as a virus) I had lost my backup databases etc which had all got locked up by the anti virus program. I just went ahead and OKed through the errors as there was nothing I thought I could do about it. The event also forced me to reinstall IL-2 and I forgot to change the logfile settings meaning I had no log file later when I went to check it out.

The trials and tribulation of marginal computer skills :D

Thanks Gross, I see that problem. It is definitely an IL-2 problem that SEOW must somehow deal with sensibly.

If you can send me the corresponding .mis file as well, that will give me something to work with.

Cheers,
