Windows server 2012

Post by gec100 »

hello all.

i'm trying to install new SEDCS 6.0.7 on the mentioned OS but it gives me the infamous "You have tried to change from MS Access to MySql" error.

ODBC driver is installed with no problems or errors but i think the problem could be in it.

any thoughts?

thx

I am not sure why that error occurs, but you could try deleting the .config file (in DCS folder) and reinstalling.

I run DCS 32bit on Vista 64 with no problems.

Cheers,

it does not work in Win8 and Windows server 2012

is there any log that we can check to see what's the problem?

Don't think there is a log. The best way would be to install VS 2010 Express and the DCS project and run VS in debug mode.

I don't have Win8 or WS2012 here unfortunately.

ok here are the results.

on my Win8 machine:
- downloaded and installed Visual Basic 2010 Express
- downloaded last version i could find from sourceforge (6.0.6)
- run the SDCS in the debug mode
- works without problems
- run mi installed SDCS 6.0.7, works to

on my Server 2012 server:
- uninstall ODBC driver for forth time
- install ODBC driver for fifth time
- run installed SEDCS 6.0.7
- works

i have no idea what i have done, but it works now
