Re: Setting Up Templates Questions.

Many thanks for your reply Emil. Am re-posting this in the public forum as requested. In regard to your response to the Wespe (Question 2), am a little unsure as to what you mean. Is the Wespe included or not? My query was not referring to the Wespe as an off map artillery barrage module, but to it...

Just to explain a bit more literally what I mean. A year ago I had a talk with the brother of my grandfather. This is his unepicly short story of the war: After merely 2 months of, my granduncles´ basic training in Denmark in Summer 1944 his unit was sent to Holland. After barely having arrived they...

In the initial Order of Battle we ahd a Wespe already that´s why we decided to use the HoRo instead.

Now that we don´t use the Wespe we could use the Wespe.

Up to 4Shades.

I posted about it in this thread: http://seowhq.net/seowhqforum/viewtopic.php?t=2372 The Zustandsberichte of the of the army units of that time in this area, all report the same mess lack of equipment and lack of reinforcements and supply: From the Zustandberichten I read the new arrivals were cherr...

Scannon´s got point there. I had a closer read on the jeep in Pat Ware, Military jeep: 1940 onwards (Willys MB, Ford GPW, and Hotchkiss M201): enthusiasts' manual, Sparkford: Haynes, 2010. ISBN 978-1-84425-933-5. . In the book there is a comparison the jeep and the Kübelwagen. Both perform apparentl...

ok, ok, no extra rules. I made a post about the reconnaissance before battle at Korosten in the other thread. There is a book dedicated entirely dedicated to this topic: Soviet Military Deception in the Second World War (Soviet (Russian) Military Theory and Practice) - David M. Glantz On page page 2...

I think that enemy positions were known to both sides. Only the unit designation was faulty. Therefore 30+%.

I would also fancy a "after artillery fire change position rule".
I read this was a standard procedure for all artillery.
Exception would be encirclement.

Only my thoughts:
- I wouldn´t mind the units being 10-15km apart fom each other.
- Recon should be somewhat between 30-70%.
- officers would represent NCO with radios and smg, i.e. Kompanieführer Steiner making sure hisd troops aren´t breaking

etc.

@ Brändle: You could go one side and be counselor. I.e. blue side. ;)
