From Illustriuos Blitz-

Edited 11th Oct 2012

Nights rules apply between dusk and dawn. Hours 1700 to 0300hr .The 0500hr starts dark finishes in light & is start of day missions.

These are:

1. Plotted flights are halved & add 2 ie Allied 12 ,Axis 22 .
2. Only multiengined bombers and Swordfish (trained for this) can be used.
3. Dedicated nightfighters (Blenheim MkIF & CR.42) are used.(also Fulmar) .
4. Me110 & Beafighters only for day missions
5. Nightfighters are single flights .( must be human flown -deleted)
6. CR.42 restricted to Axis territory.

Re Q 4 , with our limited no of flyers what happens with say 3 nightfighters plotted & only 2 guys available @ flight time. I imagine everyone must fill a position & its ok for remainder (if any) to be AI ?

I reckon that nightfighters should be plotted to defend their own territory, so it shouldn't matter too much if there is the occasional AI nightfighter out there. Really, as long as we don't send them out on long, speculative sweeps over enemy territory, it should be OK.

Cheers,
4S

Are top ups to airfields of other planes( eg mc200) excluded due to night rule restrictions or available as the are a non aggressive flight.

If available I'd imagine they would have to be AI only that way they fly direct to field .

I don't have a problem with that, but we could limit top-ups to have empty loadouts. ;)

That sounds good to me too.

I just set all air supply points (on both sides) to restrict aircraft to empty loadout. :)

Re TS agreement night flights including topups will now only be night capable planes.

For clarification: as latest HSFX is quite dark the hours of the day should be confirmed.

Looking in FMB the sun sets at 6pm and starts to rise at 6am.
Our mission starts fall at 05:00hrs and 17:00hrs, as such missions would start in the dark and finish in the dark during these missions.
So can we agree that night mission rules start at 5pm and end at 7am. This would ensure that runways are lit and that planes operating are night rated.
Maybe 5:00am should be a day mission as the morning glow starts at 6:00am?

I have planned Allied 5:00am mission as a night rules mission as it starts in the dark (but landing with the sun coming up).

Thats why I asked!!

Leave the plans in I'll just add some on my side thats ok. We only have this mission that is in that questionable state anyway. A day mission it is then!
Maybe for the next night we can decide what the official hours will be.

After TS meeting rules are changed slightly

Nights rules apply between dusk and dawn. These are:
1. Plotted flights are halved & add 2 ie Allied 12 ,Axis 22 .
2. Only multiengined bombers and Swordfish (trained for this) can be used.
3. Dedicated nightfighters (Blenheim MkIF & CR.42) are used.(also Fulmar)
4. Nightfighters are single flights .
5. CR.42 restricted to Axis territory.

Bf110 are multiengined and can carry bombs.

Do they comply with with rule 2 when carying bombs?
