Scenario 1: Korosten' - Command Lineup

Post by IV/JG7_4Shades » Tue Jan 29, 2013 12:53 am

Current line-up, awaiting further expressions of interest ...

By the way, Faustnik has requested a minor battalion- or regiment-strength unit. This is a good chance to split a major unit between two people. I have provisionally assigned Faustnik to Pionier-Batallion 70 until a split request for 291 Infanterie, PzD 7 or Korps-Abt C (the remaining Axis formations) is lodged.

Also, we will need air commanders for each side - very light duties.

Axis
Armwaar: Sicherungs Regiment 375, Reserve-Grenadier-Regiment 212, Luftflotte 4
Ikey: Kampfgruppe Zwiahel
Scannon: 1 SS Panzer LSSAH
Faustnik: Pionier-Batallion 70
Emil: 1 Panzer
Warg: 7 Panzer
Charlie: Korps Abteilung C
Subg: 291 Infanterie

Brandle: Official Observer
Kopfdorfer: Official Observer

Allied
4Shades: 77 Rifle Corps (including 162 Tank Brigade), 2nd Air Army
Badger: 30 Rifle Corps
Hawk_5: 24 Rifle Corps (including 111 Tank Brigade)
Luny: 18 Guards Rifle Corps

Devill: Official Observer
Petr: Official Observer

Commanders are being allocated to Allied and Axis groups now, and secure forums have been established. Let me know if you can't get in and download your templates.

Only 2 Axis slots left: Korps Abteilung C and 291 Infanterie Division. I am hoping that Subg will put his hand up for one of these. Any other takers?

Cheers,

With Petr's arrival and the expected return of Subg, I think we have a full Axis roster. Of course, anyone else who wishes to join would be welcomed to the campaign, but I think we are pretty well in shape to get started.

Commanders - to your templates!

Cheers,

i will be picking brains as I go so bear with me.

Petr has resigned unfortunately, but we have an able replacement in Charlie who has volunteered for Korps Abteilung C, at the heart of the Korosten defence.

Best of luck with Barents Sea PQ16 Petr, and welcome Charlie.

Thanks Shades! Sorry to have to miss this one, but won't be able to do both at the same time.

Good luck Charlie! Very nice ground war you setup there for PQ16, really enjoying it although you're a miser when it comes to supply!

Petr

Glad its working out Petr,

I didn't do the supply part so don't know what was decided for that but I probably would have been a miser also...

Diego asked me what the oobs were up there and I didn't know, the best I could come up with was the OOB's from a scenario of OPART cross referanced with several articles I was able to dig out from a google search (so at best probably very approximate).
But I did populate it with all of the hsfx objects that we now have so it is a Infantry/artillery template (so make sure that you are using barraging artillery as much as you can supply it.).
Hope it plays out ok , both sides are fairly evenly balanced so it should create a tense conflict ...for a while anyway...
There are so many aircraft and pilots in the template though, that will probably be ultimately what decides the outcome.

I am not directly involved so will be really interested to hear about how it pans out. I am most pleased that Diego has finally dived in and started to make templates :)

Sadly Justus has had to pull out of this campaign with some significant RL issues. That leaves a gap in the Soviet command structure that we are looking to fill.

All the best Justus, see you soon.
