New pilot rating logic - test

Post by 22GCT_Gross » Sat Jun 29, 2013 6:09 am

Mike has updated the pilot rating logic in the stats and we have enabled it in this campaign for testing.

Now Ace criteria are more strict but you'll see more veterans among those are playing a lot of missions.

I point out that the statistics do not indicate that many pilots flew misssione the day on July 1.

This is not very important, but 'most' important is that they are not updated in mission planner.

For example, it does not appear that the transport I sunk in AU13.

This is only for indication and suggestion, it is not a problem of personal statistics.

Let me better understand.
You are saying not all the players who flew the mission are reported in the stats as players?
I see

Code: Select all

Total: 66 Human Pilots (32 Allied, 34 Axis)
Are there some players missing?

Then you are reporting that some in-game events seem not being parsed in the statistics and in the Mission Planner.
You know the logic of Scorched Earth is parsing the eventlog and updating the database were the Mission Planner extracts the data from to be displayed on the map image background.
Scorched Earth reads the game events by the eventlog that is the only game output provided by IL2.
If the eventlog fails or is somehow corrupted that is mirrored in the database and in the Mission Planner.

I took a brief look at the eventolg regarding your flight and I found:

Code: Select all

10:00:00 B_AMVI_Enkas is trying to occupy seat III_JG1_1001(0)
10:00:00 III_JG1_1001(0) seat occupied by B_AMVI_Enkas at 152368.06 166349.98
10:00:00 III_JG1_1001 loaded weapons 'R3-DROPTANK' fuel 100%
10:01:39 III_JG1_1001 in flight at 153046.28 167610.89
11:12:46 III_JG1_1001 landed at 152463.84 167081.78
11:13:30 B_AMVI_Enkas has disconnected
The eventlog has registered your T/O and then your landing. No combat events in the meanwhile.
Consequently no ship sinking has been registered in the database and into the Mission Planner.

Sorry Gross, but it's wrong. And not only for me.

I have flown the mission of 1/7/2013 with : R1 SC500 equipped and sunk the ship. this is out of discussion, Astore and Gheppio see was present.

And as you can see here , this is what we can see with my eventlog :

Image

In fact if you see in my personal statistic page , there doesn't appear the string of the mission of 1 july. But in the general statistic of the mission , insteed result that i sunk the Armed Troopship HMS Empire Nigel Fleet 2, Flotilla 3.

So in the mission planner the ship sunk is not present .

And so i don't know what else.

For info if you can help this observation:
This is not just a problem of Enkas but it is a problem for all players. In fact, in general statistical data are correct in terms of air and ground kills, but if you click on the player the information is updated at the penultimate mission.

My fault was looking at the eventlog from another mission. Sorry.

The ActionData reports the event at 13:37:24 (The unit III_JG5000 destroyed the unit VfSSSR31), and that is what we can see in the mission detail "Complete Combat Actions List".

The Objmissiondata reports the unit VfSSSR31 (HMS Empire Nigel Fleet 2, Flotilla 3) as dissolved (and Quantity=0) at the end of the mission, so the unit now is correctly no more displayed in the Mission Planner.

So database and Mission Planner are reporting the right situation for everyone.

The only mismatch is about personal stats.
What you see in the statistics are html static files that the system automatically generates after the analysis phase.
I have checked that the personal stat page were built only for some players and not for the others. About those player you can see the last built html file (two mission ago).
I should order a complete rebuild of the stats, but since they are going to be rebuilt after the next mission, I would wait for that

Hi gents one idea..

Could be nice if same kind of award would be created for every campaign, only to remember all the time we spent togheter and for the efforts that every squadron made during the campaign.

I mean for example same kind of certificate with logo, results, points gained or samething else:

-best squadron ( points...)
-best ace
or moore simply a certificate squadron participation to the campaign.

What do you think about that ?

We have badges for SEOW campaigns which are awarded to any pilot from 102nd that participates in a campaign. Check them out here, may give you some ideas:
