In game Chat box

I'm unable to move it about the screen and it clutters my screen up.

Is there a ini entry to disable the chat box entirely?

if you're talking about the chat box you can resize and move it only when its open, go with your mouse to the bottom right hand corner and drag intuitively.

if you're refering to the chat of the AI cluttering the screen you can control that also:

in your conf.ini file:

[game]
NoSubTitles=0 <- switch the zero with "1" and no more subtitles
SubTitlesLines=3 <- amount of lines you allow for the AI chats
NoChatter=0 <- switch the zero with "1" and no more AI chatting

Hi Tanker, the above instructions are good but dont try to mess with the chat bar when playing an SE mission

Join a DF server and set it how you like it, playing with the chat bar in an SE mission is asking for a mission loading bug
