As with Fortress Malta the campaign has been updated to comply with the new MP.

Planning should be ok.

This probably needs a closer look to ensure unit names and DB are fully up to HSFX5.01 and SEDB33A specs. I'll spend some time on it this week.

This campaign started over 2 years ago now and has dwindled on the vine somewhat but has always beed good fun.
I think this can be given a try and see how we go. I have test run some older missions without problem and aside from A/C skin issues should be ok.
Are there any Syldavian plans set? It looks like Bordurian plans have been ready for a long time now and just waiting to fly.

Cheers,

Have you changed all the spies to bikes including those in supply?

Bordurian Half Tracks are currently set as the espionage units. I am thinking that instead of changing all the half tracks in supply into bicycles, we just change the ones already on map into bicycle riders and keep the half tracks in supply as half tracks. The same for Syldavian Armoured cars.
I could add a few bicycle units to supply to reflect espionage units available but this should be agreed too. We lost a number of spy units in the halftrack airfield attack that was a major loss from our intel group and should stay as such.

I changed the Bordurian half track class type (SdKfz) from VSP to VMI.

I did not change the FAIM designation as yet but I hope the same would apply for the Syldavian's?

I assume that this is ok and more appropriate for the types?

The Bordurian spy unit/s that were in the field I changed to bicycle which makes the type more appropriate.

I am not sure which Syldavian unit/s are spies, if any, and I really don't want to probe so far as to find out.

What do you think 4Shades, Warg?

If I am making too many assumptions and changes without agreement please let me know. I hope that this is just a further adjustment to bring the campaign up to current spec and more appropriate units for the role types.

I am still keen to keep going with this, but am absolutely flooded workwise for the next week or two.

Stats have been tidied up to bring pilot data under one name where they have flown under different names during campaign.

Additional modifications made in discussion with Ikey.

Radio towers have been added to supply. Bordurian Radio has already been placed and moved to appropriate location and renamed Bordurian State Radio.
Two additional army units added to help with allocating radio towers to a unit.

Searchlights and recon vehicles (Jeeps and Kubelwagens) also added to supply replacements for allocation as required.

New Object Specifications table from 33C database which has verbose names updated as per old db.

Object_Costs table updated to include new units that were added and also transfered Object_Roles over to cover the radio towers role type.

Another thought to add some colour to an already fun fictional campaign.

When the cars are brought into sector how about a few be renamed to reflect important characters in the Herge universe.
eg. Colonel Sponsz, Colonel Jorgen, Krônik and Klûmsi (spies) on the Bordurian side, Tin Tin, Professor Calculus, Thomson & Thompson on Syldavian to name just a few.

Because we can.

Something I've noticed with Syldavians so far are some types that are either in supply points or are being produced at factories but when I click the 'Select Production Type' they arent available to produce.

Syldavian tank... dont know which one that is.
Syldavian Fuel tanker
Gladiator Mk1
Searchlights
Rolls Royce AC
Willis MB Jeep Special
MS406

Also red side now can produce
IL4 DB3B.....originally blue had it as BR20
P11c
Blenheim MkIV

These are Blue planes

& can the naming of the SB-2M-100A revert back to its verbose Avia 71

Edit: In the Select Production Type there's 2 choices of the maxime 7.62 (Maxim & Flak) & the 4 x 7.62 Maxime (AAA & Flak). Not sure what goes there but I can only find 1 of either , also notice big change in their engagement range to actual range. Costs have 1400m but the max distance is 300m (single) or 600m (4 x).
No doubt others have changed seeing as this is old campaign & I'll need to look into it.

Sorry Ikey,
in my rush I didn't get the nationalities changed over correctly.

Syldavian tank... dont know which one that is.
Syldavian Fuel tanker
Gladiator Mk1
Searchlights
Rolls Royce AC
Willis MB Jeep Special
MS406

These all had either nationality wrong or start date later than April 1939, the month we are fighting in.
This has been fixed and hopefully looks ok your side.
The issue with two variations of both the maxim guns appearing in production is due to the guns being used by both sides but having different verbose names for each side. As such both variations appear.
I have corrected so both use same name. Now only one variation of each appears.

The blue planes have been restored to blueness and the SB-2M-100A back to an Avia 71.

Couple of other things on Syldavian side are
Ground units in supply point but not able to produce:

searchlights
Willis MB Jeep Special
Rolls Royce AC

Air Units as above:

Hurricane Mk1a
I-153 M62 Chaka
SB-2M-103

Will look into it more tomorrow night . I have a feeling some of the above may have been limited in supply point only as part of Wargs design.

I corrected the Hurricane Mk1a to Allied as it was Axis.

From the campaign settings page
Factory Production Mode: Only Producing Materiel Defined in Template
The dates are now ok for all units mentioned and the production is based on template only so units added to supply points later can't be produced.

I agree this may have been Warg's original intention (to have different AC types added via supply point) as you say but I wasn't involved when this campaign started and can't see any mention in forum.

Edit:I've also found that the bunkers were not allowed to move so have set range to zero for all bunker types and moved one back into a standard position as I moved it last mission and some time ago.
