Where and how do can I load what into which kind of train?
Is the train faster than the normal speed of trucks/tanks/infantry/etc.?

Hi Emil,
How does the heavy freight transport work?
If selected, the heavy freight option means that tanks and artillery may only be loaded onto or unloaded from trains at railway stations. All other freight can be loaded/unloaded to trains anywhere.
Where and how do can I load what into which kind of train?
As noted in another post, any kind of freight (supply, combat units) can be loaded to any kind of train, up to the Transport Capacity of the train. Just get your freight to within the Control Radius of the train, and in the MP go to Logistics : Freight, select your train and look for nearby loadable freight.
Is the train faster than the normal speed of trucks/tanks/infantry/etc.?
Yes, trains move at 40 km/h, whereas most vehicles and tanks are at most 22 km/h. Infantry moves at around 8 km/h. A loaded train uses much less fuel than all the freight units moving on their own. Of course, by editing the Range field in Object_Specifications, you can change the fuel economy behaviour any way you want.

Cheers,
