Salute,
Just putting the foundations together for a squad event.
What do people think is best for performance, using individual units or selecting the group object?
Any advice / pointers welcome

Hi Friar,
My view is that 1 group of 4 tanks, e.g. a single chief of 4xT28, causes less work to the game than 4 chiefs consisting of single tanks. But that is the case only when the tanks are moving. If they are stationary, SEOW will place the same number of indivdual tank objects.
BTW, I can easily change your login name to DD_Friar if you wish.
Cheers,

Hi Shades,
yes please to the name change, thanks.
Thanks also for the pointers, I sort of believed that would be the case.

Hi Gross,22GCT_Gross wrote:I usually put groups of tanks with 3/4 of strenght and build the template with maximum strenght disabled.
Was good to use a modified version of the technics.ini file to improve te playability (ask =69.Giap=Petr).
The advantage of building the template with one tank and stationary is the reduced possibility of having to chase a mobile unit without waypoints
Cheers,
