Hi 4Shades,
AG-51 is about to start Stalingrad against Ground Zero soon, thanks to you. We planned to run 6 missions in summer map then switch to 6 missions in winter map. I noticed the new SEOW DB we have loaded has a winter map now. What would be the best way to continue Stalingrad but just change the map to winter? I would like to keep all stats if possible.
Thank you again sir!
Salute!

Hi Cobraj,
Here is a series of steps you might consider:
1. Build "Stalingrad" sector-specific database
2. Load template into "Stalingrad" and point MP at "Stalingrad".
3. Play 6 missions in "Stalingrad". Reserve this DB for future debugging.
4. Create new database and copy entire "Stalingrad" contents to the new database. The new one will be the "Stalingrad Winter" DB.
5. Change the Map or Campaign_Sector values from "Stalingrad" to "Stalingrad Winter" in the following tables: Airbases, Bridges, GroupMissionData, Industrial_Installations, MissionData, Railway_Stations, Resupply_Points, Resupply_Replacements, Sector_Status, Sector_Weather, Supply_Drops, Waypoints, Withdrawals etc. Basically have a look at the contents of each table and make the change where required. The substantive changes between "Stalingrad" and "Stalingrad Winter" are in the Bridges table, so the search and replace there may affect a couple of bridges if they are destroyed.
6. Point your MP at the new DB.
7. Go to MP stats page and do a "rebuild" in the "Stalingrad Winter" sector. That should pick up all the prior stats.
Cheers,

Hi 4Shades,
We ran a test mission Tuesday and the SEOW produced a winter map using map name Stgrad/load.ini It should have produced Stgrad/sload.ini
Is something not set correctly that it made a winter map instead of a summer map which was what .mis was uploaded? Does my date effect which map SEOW loads? Date on the map was 10-15-43
Database and MP4 are setup for summer. My template loaded was Stgrad/sload.ini
Thank you again.

Hi Cobraj,
The Sector_Seasons table tells SEOW which map to use for different times of the year. In that table the date on which the winter season commences and also when summer commences are both encoded in SEOW "sequence number" format YYYYMMDD, e.g. 15 October 1941 is 19411015.
As campaign designer, you can choose when these critical dates should be; just edit the fields in Sector_Seasons accordingly.
Cheers,
