New Release: The SEOW Aces Release!
Posted: Tue 05 Feb 2008 10:30 am
Hi Everyone,
I have just released a new (incremental) patch to SEOW. This is intended to be the code set for the impending SEOW Aces campaign series. Included is a range of minor bug fixes and some new functionality. Here are the details:
Release Notes
This release is an incremental patch: the applying the MP patch files to an existing MP4 v4.389 (or later) install will increment the version to v4.405 (with Statistics v1.93), also known as the Aces version. The SEDB31Aces files contain SQL and Access files that reflect the changes listed below. A key feature is a revised Campaign_Settings table. Both MP4 v4.405 and SEDCSv3.1.6 use new settings options that requires the presence of the new Campaign_Settings table.
Software Requirements
The new SEOW system requires the following free software installs:
Mission Planner v4.405
- PHP5 (server side) (PHP4 is insufficient to run MP_Statistics)
- Internet Explorer 6/7, or Firefox with IE plug-in (client-side)
SEDCS v3.1.6 (32-bit binary only)
- MyODBC-v3.51.12 or later
- .NET Framework 2.0
SEDB31Aces
The SEDB31-series databases are available in MySQL4/MySQL5 and MSAccess2003+ flavours, and both flavours interoperate seamlessly with the other MP and DCS software components. The SEDB is downloaded as a combined ZIP file, containing the MSAccess database PLUS all MySQL script files. The MySQL files are "Lite" databases for each sector, plus the full multi-sector "Reference" MySQL database. The only structural change is to the Campaign_Settings table. A SQL script is also supplied to update this table directly with Factory Default settings.
Change List
SEDCS v3.1.6
* Sliders added for industrial production of supply. This means that standard fuel dumps now can act as fuel refineries, producing fuel supplies each mission, just as factories can produce military reinforcements each mission.
* Removed air supply points from the set of locations that generate strategic front line markers. (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Added wreckage rate slider to reduce the number of smokes placed on maps with heavy combat losses (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Swapping Initial Axis/Allied Intelligence text to match MP Options Screen (242Sqn_Chap)
* Moved Use_Skins checkbox into Campaign Modes tab (IV/JG7_Warg)
* Moved Analyzed status message popup until AFTER the MissionData update, hopefully eliminating the "stalled campaign" bug
* Improved handling of Skins and Morale in subCaptureAirbase() (=69.GIAP=PAVEL)
* Added support for Factory Production Modes, allowing more flexible programming of reinforcement production (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Added "Playability" tab and controls (Hitcher)
* Added code to check equality of Built mission filename and mission filename in logfile, aborting if different (609_Jericho)
* Corrected logfile parser to handle multiple restarts in the one logfile (FSNS_JPV)
* All "AI" control aircraft given AI-only directives, as well as all "secret" flights.
MP4 v4.405, including Statistics v1.93
* Corrected case sensitive name for GS_SOG_Definitions.php.
* Added support for Factory Production Mode (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Final version of Playability Limitations integrated into MP (Hitcher)
* Only PFI class aircraft can perform escorts (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Corrected Ship Speed bug in setSpeed() of MP-Head.js (22GCT_Gross)
* Fixed OffMap_Supply_Reserves capitalization error in GS_SOG.php (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Corrected unit selector code to handle Range=0 units.
* Corrected lack of ObjMissionDisposition 'Crashed' events - important for glider crashes (II/JG1_Krupinski)
* Corrected Disposition errors in MP-Missions.php.
* Corrected Costs bug for MSAccess (AH_Rumely)
SEDB31Aces (structure and data changes)
* New playability, wreckage placement percentage, supply production and factory production mode settings for Campaign_Settings
* New Smolensk railway bridge 0 (II/JG3K.Brandle)
* Corrected Hawaii tile codes (IV/JG7_Warg)
Downloads are available at the usual place.
