As you know we have reinstalled wamp. Im now getting SE back up and running.

Im not getting icons and trying to click on a map will result in a list of errors. see below

But i do get a lot of the mp.

I will get the mission planner screen
the credentials screen
the mission HQ screen
view settings will come up but all the gifs are not shown. eg little red X
the commanders screen comes up, but again the icons gifs dont come up
now on the italy sector only certain sectors give a "hand" option.
On the underlying map - not the map names. Look at sectors

C14,C15,C16
B14,B15
F9, F10 , F11
G10,G11
A2,A3
B1,B2,B3
C1,C2,C3
D2

There maybe a few more.

Here are the errors

Commander Administrator, please wait. We are gathering the latest intelligence from Administration HQ ...
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in C:\wamp\www\MP4\Scripts\MP-SQL.php on line 513

Fatal error: Call to a member function Close() on a non-object in C:\wamp\www\MP4\Scripts\MP-SQL.php on line 519

Now here is what is loaded as our extensions under php

Can you tell me what other things should be loaded.

the fact that a lot still works is a very good thing.

Hi Tai,

First, if you haven't done this already, you need to set your uniticons location inside MP-Configuration.php (edit that file in Notepad or another text editor). Once that is fixed, all the icons should appear.

Second, you need to confirm that all your SEOW software modules are consistent. I see that you are running MP4 v4.389. This is well out of date now. Perhaps your DB is out of date too.

Recently I tried to get PHP5 working with Apache 2.2 and I couldn't get it to work. Maybe WAMP does it for you though. I looked at your PHP extensions and you have all the right stuff in there.

Ok tried that but still getting the same errors.

I havent updated the database - still using the sedb31a database that you installed for us.

I downloaded all the latest files and installed the dcs, and the MP

I do get connection to the mp, its just when i try and connect to links i get spat out with dozens of php errors.

Can you have a quick look and see whether it is something simple.

All the databases connect up fine, so i dont know what it is.

Hi Tai,

You have got a new MP and an old DB. That is the cause of the MP script errors. You need to upgrade to the latest DB.

S!

Ok i downloaded the latest database.

It would not load up the reference.sql file.

So i loaded up the individual *.sql files.

It refused to load the manchuria and the osterfrieland files.

The initial problems with the icons have been solved.

However the maps are not loading.

I also tested some of the old maps such as the Kuban and they also would not load.

It says "loaded but with errors on the page".

So i think we are close - just not quite there.

Hi Tai,

Your "sedb31aces" DB contains all the right tables, but they are empty. I suggest you create a couple of specific DBs for maps and use those. I have created two (Ardennes and Crimea) to get you started.

Ok how did you do that?

I went in and checked the Crimea and it was working fine.

Last night i went in and using navicat, selected the sedb31aces directory.

I then clicked on that directory and went execute batch file. Selected the individual sql files and then open and then ran them.

It should have worked shouldnt it?

Ok ive replicated what you did and it appears to be working.

Thanks for your help.

Oh but it still wouldnt load 2 sql files.

It refused to load the manchuria and the osterfrieland files.

Hope that helps.

Tai,

It would helpful if you would explain exactly what "it" is. Do you mean the MP will not load Manchuria and Ostfriesland, or do you mean you cannot load the SQL files?

Secondly, when you say it appears to be working, you haven't described what you have done. Have you defined separate DBs for each sector, and mapped them individually to sectors inside the MP, or not?

There is not much point in me guessing these things - you can help by explaining more.

If i remember right these files are to big for running from navicat. But you can install all files from direct SQL console.

Or you can edit these files and make one file to two... That way they are smaller ones.
