Is it required to have Frontmarkers loaded in order for pilot interigation to work?

I am not sure. It may be that the game will calculate capture events for bailed pilots even if no front lines are on the map (based on proximity to enemy units). But having front lines displayed in-game helps pilots work out where to bail to avoid capture.

In our experience you will have no captured pilots unless front lines are displayed, hence there will be no pilot interrogations unless front lines are displayed.
