Ships dissapering between missions

Post by EAF331_Starfire »

As I am new to hosting SEOW I have been running a lot of missions and campaigns to undestand the SEOW before running Live! campaigns.

But from the start I have been having the problem in every sea campaign.

Ships that have been planned to move dissaper between missions :!: :?:

The campaigns and are run as pure 4.09m.

Can it be a wrongly configured conf.ini?

Current settings:
- eventlog=eventlog.lst
- eventlogkeep=0

Any idears?

Hi Starfire,

That is not a conf.ini setting issue. Please tell me the version of DB that you are using. I can offer you a DCS patch that may help, but I need to know your DB version to ensure that the new DCS will work with it.

Cheers,

Sorry for the late answer, but I have been bugged by Easter holiday and moving the SEOW installation to its new server.

I have installed the fix and it is still NoGo.
The moved groundunits still dissaper between missions.

DB or DCS issue?
(or an admin fu*k up :? )

Since 4Shades fix did not work I went back to basic.

I made a unmod 4.09m campaign.
MP4 is still 4.610a, but I am using a clean Access SEDB32.mdb and DCS 3.2.7.
This seem to work :D

My next step will be to try use DCS version 3.2.8 to see how it goes.
My question to the crowed is:
- Should I make a new campaign from scratch, or can I just change the DCS?

Check out the release notes for the DCS - it should tell you whether a new DB version is required for the later DCS. E.g. you may need the new Flags table in your DB.
