Upcoming SEOW changes

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who don't know, the large multisector June 1942 campaign has recently finished. J42 involved nearly 500 pilots from all around the world, with 150+ missions in 8 sectors, and over 6000 pilot sorties. The missions were flown using HSFX.

During this campaign, both SEOW and HSFX were in development and bug-fix mode. Key features that were stress-tested included:
  • strategic radar
    partial ship damage
    inter-sector reinforcement transfers
    infantry
    trains
Not surprisingly, we found and corrected many minor bugs and a few large ones. These will be present in the next public SEOW release, along with some new maps and some reworked maps. Some important new SEOW features are also under development too. These include:
  • locked factory production
configurable delays on inter-sector (SOG) transfers
re-arm penalties for aircraft landing at the wrong destination
restrictions on object and loadout types able to be defined per resupply point
admin user ability to reposition units
I cannot give a release date, but hopefully some time in September...

Cheers,
4Shades

All these features will be very useful, thanks Mike for this great job

This function "admin user ability to reposition units" will be specially appreciated.
I will use it e.g. in this case:
When a bridge is destroyed during a mission, when this mission is analyzed, non-destroyed units which are ordered crossing this bridge are located at their theorical place "time of Mission END", as if the bridge was not destroyed.

Wow JP! I just checked that out and you are right, the DCS code had a bug in it. Fixed for the next version...

Cheers,

Greatissimus!

I did not seen these 2 news features:

Image

1. Pilot penalty: My aircraft will have one mission penalty because I landed far away from the planned destination. (function active or not in DCS). It appears with a "0*" on the airbase with 2 hours refueling (on the planned destination airbase)

2. After mission analyse, we can see the previous orders! We cannot deleted them, of course, just read only. If we order a new mission for the same unit, we can see the old one and the new one... Marvellous!

Can previous orders be collapsed somehow?

They are really great to have but they stick on top of the orders tree, so it is getting harder to see new orders. Can they be moved to the bottom?
