Can I have Catalinas (PBY) fly from tenders (ship bases)?

I would like like to have a cargoship or two act as mobile seaplane bases. Is it possible 
The "SeaplaneTender" ship does this function. It acts as a kind of caircraft carrier, so it is not intended for use with large seaplanes like PBN/PBY etc, but they should work with it anyway.
