Re: Parkers Crossroads Participants Technical Requirements
There were a couple of issues here: 1. Kopfdorfer had already used up the supply drop limit in setting up the campaign - he has fixed this now. 2. With supply flights of strength = 3, if you load freight onto the flight, it will be distributed equally among the planes. Then when you send a single pl...

Re: Is There a Willing Host Out There ?
Hi Kopfdorfer, 1) I can host when I'm around, which is the majority of weekends. However the time slot is late for me, probably 11pm - 1am. Two hours early on Saturdays would work best for me if I am to host or play. Wednesday time slot is not good for me. 2) I am happy to command a side, but I woul...

Re: Parkers Crossroads Development Underway
Just disable display of bridges before you take the snap.
If you want to name localities on the map, it can be done either permanently (with lettering on the images) or via SEOW , e.g. using a named control point in the right location, or a persistent pilot report etc.

Re: Parkers Crossroads Development Underway
Kopfdorfer, check out "Rochefort Village (PXR)" in the MP views for West Front 44. It looks ok, but you may want to revise your other photos to remove the bridge icons before you take the shot.

Re: Task Force 8 Leaves the Marshall Islands
From a combat point of view , IJN forces were always going to take a beating. TF8.2 (3 cruisers) was immensely strong and would always overpower the atoll defences. IJN had the extra difficulties of anticipating where the attack would occur, and having to concentrate their forces across a very wide...

HSFX v7.0.3 Released
Charlie has released a patch that can be accessed by the HSFX Autoupdater. I recommend that everyone install this. It contains the official trigger mod, so we don't need to run the beta versions any more.

Re: New Test Campaign "Task Force 8"
Hi guys, Good discussion - helps us all to learn. 1. Forum Kopfdorfer has no admin rights to these forums so he cannot create new rooms even if he wanted to! For background, these forums are completely separate to the SEOW system. They are paid for and administered by me just as a convenience. I jus...

Possible explanation for TBD-1 problems
Following Greykitten's issues last night I tried to test this out. My best guess is the overheat properties of the TBD-1. Even a small amount of overheating can lead to irreversible engine problems. If you get an overheat signal you must drop your throttle below 50% and keep your revs down. If you o...
