AMVI_RugerOne. You obviously do not understand what we are talking about, perhaps this is because English is not your first language. Can someone who speaks fluent english and italian please explain the external view option that we are talking about. The external view will only work for our players ...

Devill as you know the allied planning team is very small, and my free time for planning is even smaller :) I appreciate that everyone wants this campaign running as soon as is possible but as we already discussed I have literally no free time at all over the weekends for planning. Therefore if we a...

@Devill, as its your first time in this role all of the SEOW pilots have had a meeting and we agreed to argue as much as possible and blame the admin for everything!

Sorry Enkas, I did not mean to sound so abrupt. Everyone is entitle to their opinion of course. Whilst in a perfect world it would be nice to do everything pre mission some of us just dont have the time. When I put the children to bed and then sit down for a SEOW mission I am joining the mission jus...

So external wiews are useless, exeption/save for rookies.... Thats a very elitist comment. Turning left or right only allows a view ahead, you cannot; - check your ordnance - check position on the airfield - see if another runway is better faced into wind - check the length of runway ahead - check ...

Another pro which adds to immersion is that by allowing this pre-takeoff only external view is that it simulates a pilots pre-flight check and walk around inspection aka 'kick the tyres and light the fires' :) This will add to immersion as each pilot can fully check his controls are free and respond...

Can I make a suggestion.... I would like it if we could use the 4.11 option of external views of the players own aircraft whilst it is on the ground. This is very simple to enable and will not detract from the campaign at all. On the contrary I believe it will be a great benefit to the campaign. Sum...

Here is another thought. Why do the same squads always fly on the same side (Axis/Allied) time after time? Why not mix up squads? Some of the GCT could be on the same side as some of the 102nd etc, etc. I know that there is a language barrier and that squads like to fly together but what I see is a...

Spawn heights are set in the template for supply points. I think automatic air starts when CV's are full are hard coded into IL2.

I guess an effective rule for future campaigns would be that non-comat units cannot hold CP's, airfields or industrial objects. I think non-combat units could be defined as Coastal Watchers Observers Truck or cargo only Units (not a supply column as that is capable of self-defence) Any other non-com...
