The French Decide to Fight.
From: Marshal Petain, Premier of France To: Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, Commander of Vichy forces in Tunisia Recent developments in Tunisia and the Mediterranean have presented our Vichy Government of France with problems that require immediate action. Under strong diplomatic pressure, military acc...

Petr PostPosted: Mon Feb 25, 2013 5:18 am Post subject: AT guns can't rotate 360° and if editted in the technics to 360° the gun will not be loaded and can't be selected in the full mission builder (and it will be removed from the mission). As you say, the flexibility of the 88 AAA gun is what make...

II/JG54_Emil You can take this as firing at targets above 3°, including aircraft. Do the targets above 3° include ground targets, such as tanks, vehicles, artillery, etc. ? If I had to choose which application to use the 88mm Flak 18 in this campaign, then it will have to be for its anti-tank role....

Heavy Flak Weapons
G'day, In positioning my units upon the template, like many of the Axis WW2 commanders, I have historically used the 88mm Flak unit as a "keystone" to my defence. Upon review of the guns capabilities in the technics file, I note that it has a "+3 pitch" notation added to a field ...

PzKw IV used in template.
G'day, Upon review of the template in SEOW, I noted that the PzKw IVJ's, which I used, were replaced by PzKwF2's. Whilst acknowledging that the template author specified the F2, there was valid reason why I went with the J model. This is based upon armament, frontal armour charcteristics and histori...

Setting Up Templates Questions.
G'day, Before starting to lay down objects in my designated area of the template using the full mission builder, I'd like to clear up some queries that come to mind when assessing the order of battle. These are: 1. I note on the map, that many of the artillery, tank and vehicular types do not show ...

I wouldn't say that using a heavier tank as a command tank is making the most effective use of that type of vehicle. The heavier armoured vehicle, which usually had a more potent weapon is much more effective in the gun line. A headquarters tank (or Bef vehicle) had enhanced radios communication gea...

G'day 4Shades, Just a note following our earlier discussion on TS3. As Faustnic mentioned, those Pzkw I's are probably Bef HQ vehicles, though I'd guess that the Germans might be using outmoded Pzkw III's with dummy main gun armament for the same purposes. Personally, I'd be making all the Pzkw I's ...
