Mission #3

Post by IV/JG7_4Shades » Sun May 12, 2013 9:37 am

Mission #3 was run today, again with no glitches apart from some minor character mapping issues in stats.

This mission saw the first air kill by the VVS, when a La-5F intercepted an Fi-156 recon plane. The first direct engagement on the ground took place on the northern outskirts of Korosten as Soviet advance armour groups from two different FUF tank brigades encountered 4PzAOK anti-tank emplacements on the highway approaches. This was a fierce fight!

2 out of 3 Storchs survived, but I only see recon photos for one. As far as I know, the waypoints were set to recon, but, no photos are registered.

The Rovno rail line also appears to be useless, due to some rail blocks that aren't registered, or some other issue.

Any thoughts?

One of the Storchs actually had no recon waypoints ordered!

For Rovno Rail, you are correct, there was an error in the Supply Point location. I have corrected this so hopefully things will work better now.

Cheers,

Some of the enemy units are standing right in front of the face of friendly units.
Is it possible to get a better region on them?

Have you tried the topography maps in the city map views?

Sorry, this was a typo.
What I was going to ask was if we can get a better recon.

I have to admit that I got quite close to the enemy front lines and I still couldn't see much of what was there due to both terrain features and the weather. The haze at that time was so thick I could only see a relatively short distance.

I don't think the recon range is unrealistic considering my experience up till now.

Another thing on my mind was the take of direction.
Can it be set so we cantake off into the wind?
Taxying around takes quite some time.
