Narrators voice over:
"With the word 'peanuts' still reverberating through his head, Hawk_5 impacts face first with the floorboards with a heavy thud. The sound of a heart monitor alarm blares away with its monotone that no one can hear".

After our initial hiccup in the mission build the tables that needed a fix have been corrected and mission was built ok with no issues and waiting to be hosted.
As discussed we'll run that this evening at 19:30 EST/17:30 WST before Korosten.
Cheers,

Mission was hosted but had a loadout issue at the start which resulted in all participants instantly detonating on spawn. Found this to be caused by illegal loadout on the Avia B71. Once found and corrected the mission went smoothly.
I'm at a loss how that happened now as I can't find the loadout that was in the mission file in the Avia_B_71 loadout table and how that then was written in and it appears the loadout table is correct and current. We'll have to keep an eye on that one next mission.
Thanks all for getting this one back from the dead.

G'day,
I've Just reviewed some of the aircraft sets available for this. I recall that I tried to get a European / Balkan feel about the scenario and specifically excluded American and Japanese imports. Additionally, I'd like to extend the range of German and Polish aircraft availability to the Bordurians. The dictatorships of Germany and Poland would have had a natural sympathy towards the Bordurian cause. Likewise the Soviets, Czechs and French would have felt the same for the Syldavians. The British and Dutch would have been neutral, though happy to export armaments to both. Trying to get to something like what happened in the early part of the Spanish Civil War.
Of the recent additions, am largely okay with, though having a second models of HS.123 and SB2 are probably unnecessary. I.e. don't need the HS.123B and the Avia B-71 is the Czech manufacture of the Soviet SB2 M100A.
Here are some suggestions. Will put in numbers to ascertain how common they'd be over the battlefield.
Bordurian.
4 x Blenheim Mk.IVF - heavy fighter / night fighter - use existing Bordurian Blenheim skin.
12 x PWS-10 - an early obsolete fighter - modify default skin.
6 x PWS-26 - an unarmed trainer spotter - modify default skin.
24 x PZL-23B - a ground attack aircraft - modify default skin.
6 x PZL-42 - a ground attack aircraft - modify default skin.
10 x Swordfish MkI - night bomber - modify default skin. Also note that Swordfish has flares for this.
18 x Bf-109D-1 - fighter - use existing Bordurian Bf-109 skin - This and the Bf-109E-1 should really be the only 109's in the lineup.
Syldavian.
8 x Blenheim Mk.IF - heavy fighter / night Fighter - use existing Syldavian Blenheim skin.
12 x Letov S-328n1 - night fighter - modify default green skin with pelican markings. Note that this aircraft has a loadout called "Flare Holt" and I'm curious to see how these work at night.
24 x Letov S-328 - ground attack and recon - modify default green skin with pelican markings.
48 x R-5 - ground attack and recon - modify default green skin with pelican markings.
24 x D.XXI Fokker Sara3 early - fighter - modify default skin.
4 x Miles Magister - an unarmed trainer spotter - modify appropriate skin without the yellow.
Regards,
Warg

Hi Warg,
where were you when we were hashing this all those months ago?
Its good to see your input.
The Avia was changed over as we were using the SB2 but renamed as the Avia. The last patch actually had the real Avia B71 so it made sense to just change the planes in map over to the correctly modelled version.
We stuck with what we thought were in line with original concept but IIRC didn't want to add tons of different stuff just for the sake of it and keeping it very early war/late thirties. The 109's on map at the time were E4's and so were all dropped back to E1's as we agreed they were totally out of place. There are a few E3's in supply but I suspect they have come from latest production or maybe just some left overs from earlier. Maybe they should all go and be replaced as D1's. I'm fine with that too and change production over as well.
As for adding so many new models and quantities at this stage it may take time to implement them in sector. Bordurian airfields are at capacity already and having to withdraw units out to accomodate at least a few of the last new additions and to make recon units at strength of 1 so as to be practical in use and not take up parking slots.
We have both of the HS-123's but more of the B's in line with Germany testing out the newest version in combat.
Im happy to add all of these new ones to resupply points. We may need to revise night rules if we are to add specialised night fighters. My understanding of current rules was night fighters were biplane and defensive only ie. not to cross the frontier. Was night fighting so developed in this time frame that the night fighters were specialized already? Your call of course.
The campaign time is currently at 3rd April 1939.
While were looking at tweaking, I would like to move some production output to a different supply point and delete the one where they are now. Some minor relocation of supply points would also be required to move them to the closest station near the edge of map as rail is forced to load/unload at stations only. This would be to take advantage of using the rail network to bring in reinforcements more efficiently which is working well already in other areas. Any Syldavian supply points where this would help can be fixed as well.
Cheers,

I'm hoping to hear further input on this one by Ikey and anyone else in the campaign.
Shall we proceed on introducing all of the above including the Blenheim F's?
If so I just need supply points.
Would also like to discuss night rules further as current rule is single seaters only and that prevents the Blenheims coming in.
Cheers,

I still see high recon percentages on units known to Bordurian forces.
Campaign settings have global recon decay set at only 2%!!! Oh and decay rate multiplier for individual types is then only 0.8 global! No wonder. Get full recon and it pretty much stays that way.
I request strongly that we bump this up to at least current defaults if not higher to reflect the bad weather we have had in the campaign up till now so we can get this back to some sort of realistic levels for the period.
Can I suggest the next mission has about an 80% global decay rate per mission set to get it down quickly then change it back to 10% or so global rate. This is a little higher than the 5% we have in Malta (which should also go up I think) but I'm thinking along the lines that both armies are not advanced in capabilities or advanced training for their officers and military intelligence units. I'm not comfortable seeing so much info on enemy positions without having to maintain constant recon. I like the question marks!!
Anyway just something else to think on.
edit: BTW, Singapore global decay rate is set at 20%. Thats more like it!

Agree with increase of recon % to more realistic setting.
Also how about just allowing any type reinforcement flights direct to airbases number up to the 4 max, and active(planned) nightfighters remain as 1 plane for night missions.
I'm ok with more plane types in this campaign but it's easy for me to say this as I don't do the leg work. One of us will give you the supply points asap.
I cant get to spend time checking Pelican Map till next week re tweaking supply points etc.

Any type reinforcements during night missions? Ok.
Sounds like all is ok with the new night fighters so that leaves no objections to the Blenheims. As such we can modify the single seat rule and just note that all night fighters are defensive up to the front line only.
