Mission hosted ok with no messages during build and analyze.
Noted CR42's lost near the start.
Can Axis commanders check airfield where these were operating as they look like straight into a mountain type of accident. They can be added back to supply ok?
Cheers,

Thats a hard call Pete. I believe its a planning error due to the planes escorting other flight & 1st waypoint of primary flight is too low too far out so with the <500/>500m escort parameter they've been placed @ 0m on their 1st waypoint. I'm surprised 3rd aircraft survived!
Can we cut Emil some slack here & put them back in supply.
Also I'm intrigued as to why this flight 378 Squadriglia Caccia Terrestre Sq. 1, Sez. 2 lost 2 Veteran Cr42's @ 15:19:47 They'd climbed to altitude over water & no enemy about . Can any other info be found from log files?
Cheers

I don't have the eventlog any longer to check on the cause as such but I imagine it just recorded their crash event. The fact that it records landscape as shooting them down suggests to me that they hit a static object like a building but a little odd that it was at exactly the same time and not with a secord or two delay between the impact. Without a track we'll never know.
IMO there has been some more odd AI behaviour since 4.11 especially with wingmen doing check six type manouvers and aircraft going very low before recovering which I have seen a number of times now.
I had two wingmen fly straight into the water once given an atttack command. Lesson: don't give AI flight or squadron any attack orders near the ground as they appear to go for speed by diving a little. BUT send in the wingman first and then the flight seperately seems to yield better results.
2 x CR42's back in Sicily Air Supply.

New MP now in use at HQ. Check the new CAP flights plans. I need to give Hawk_5 the latest DCS to make use of that function.

I guess that goes for all HQ campaigns now that they are running with latest MP?
E-mail me the DCS?

Some vessels are still "in progress". Guess it can be fixed as I believe the truncate to mission duration feature was enabled before the MP update...

Since last nights mission :
Cant load up the Whole Central Med Sector.
Am now getting 'Stop running this script' messages, wasnt happening before.
All Fiat M13 tank platoons on map are missing & reinforcements in Supply Route Sicily Road 3 dissappeared as well.
The Sicilian Reserve 011 &012 seem to be ok atm. All except 3 platoons have move as expected. One decided to go in reverse dir ,not sure there can live with that BUT
1/22 Eng Bat Co2 Plt 2 & 1/Sicilian Reserve Co 1 Plt 3 have refused to move 2 missions now.
Whats best option to sort the 2 units please.
Infantry unit 2/43 Italia Infantry Co 4 Plt 3 has swum out 7 kms offshore but never planned to move. Damn Italians are retreating already !
Can that be placed in coord 234600 34800 thats near to its original position.

There are 2 new features inside the MP now, for testing.
1/ According to weather conditions, a "Sea Roughness" factor is calculated, dependent on wind speed, visibility and gust. As sea roughness increases, the maximum speed of shipping is reduced in percentage terms. Examine the weather forecast icon for sea roughness information.
2/ A new kind of pilot report is available - called "map annotation". The difference between this and a standard pilot recon report is that it uses a flag icon and it persists for the duration of the campaign (remember that pilot recon reports fade away after a couple of missions). To place a map annotation, just select this mode in the Pilot Report/sAnnotations tool under Logistics.
Please have a look at these features and let me know what you think.

Excellent.
Can this pilot's annotation be deleted by the "writer" if needed?

Yes, just as with regular pilot reports.

Had no idea the regular ones could. Thanks
What about the "in progress" shipping? I know the moon is rising above the quiet Mediterranean and invites you to sit on the deck watching the reflections on the flat and glassy surface while the ship slides slowly ahead with turbines stopped.... but the proffessionals of Luftflotte X and the fearless pilots of the Regia Aeronautica are awaiting such.
