Help testing new server

Thanks to the install guide and these forums, I think I've successfully set up all the elements of a SEOW server. But being a n00b to SEOW, I'm not sure. In launching DCS -- I use the Kursk template and campaign missions -- things seem to start and run OK, but I'm not sure how to log in myself as a ...

Thanks for the great previous help. I disintalled all my relevant programs and reonstalled: .NET Framework 2.0 PHP 4.4.7 Apache 2.0,X MySQL 5, installing the SEDB SQL files And the ODBC, of course DCS Read the READMEs and install notes. 4Shades, Thanks for this excellent explanation. What you're doing with SEOW is extremely impressive. I will go back to my original plan -- running the whole thing on my XP machine. I've worked with Apache in the past, but MySQL is completely new territory, and very confusing. I'm using .NET 3.0 BTW....

Installation question

I have a home network of machines with different static (not dynamic) IPs.

Is there any reason why I can't run PHP, Apache and MySQL with the SE db on my Mac G5 OS 10.4.9, and then run DCS, MP and ODBC software on my Windows XP?

Do these things all need to be on the same machine?
