Hello Friar ;-)

I have a lot of work with layouts of 33 airbases all different from existing layouts.
If you have a few time these airbases have to build:
- Abbeville
- Montdidier
- Amiens Glisy
- Creil
- Cormeilles en Vexin
Build a mis file for one base. Here a example:
Biggin Hill
What we have to do:
- Put 1 plane in takeoff, fly and landing (3 WP) landing WP different from take off!
- Put Me-323 (Stationary Aircraft) to get parking places with correct direction.
- Put about 20 DCA
- Put "Stationary Objects --> Light type 4 for concrete airbases and Airfield Campfire for grass airbases.
- Put Stationary Objects--> Barrage Balloon
- Put Searchlight
- Put Objects --> Object 75 for fuel
- Put Objects --> Object 132 like in example
- Then put also some buildings, for England Objects --> Object 126 or/and Object 404 and for France another type.
Important: Use the same objects on all airbases except buildings

Hi Taipan,

"English Channel" is complete and integrated in the new MP, due for release shortly. Many thanks to PA_Dore and colleagues for an excellent job on this.

Slovakia, Mediterranean, Libya and the new Malta maps are all in for the new release too. Thanks to 242Sqn_Chap, plus the whole 22GCT/102nd/242/AMVI/4S community for assistance and play-testing there.

I have been quiet on these forums (and others) lately because I have been working very hard to put the next release together. There are a lot of new features that we all have been awaiting for a long time. I kind of like the propaganda leaflet drops...

Cheers,

A useful tool to capture easier roads and railways, but also to build templates. You can find it here: FMBplus
The advantage is that coordonates (X,Y, 120) are exact. So we can keep them without modify.
FMBplus show also bridges'number.
Use 4.08 or 4.09 with mod. Just unzip in MODS folder. It'll create a new .../MODS/FMB folder.

- Use "Snap function" with step between 20 or 40 meters, and it'll be easy to find roads' intersections.
- Select several objects to move, rotate or delete:
In EDIT menu select "ENABLE SELECT" then draw a box around objects with left mouse and LEFTALT key on.
1) For move: Select one object to move all
2) For rotate: Put mouse cursor without click to indicate the rotating center and rotate with numericpad keys.
2D: 1 and 3 for rotate 30°, 4 and 6 for 15°, 7 and 9 for 5°, 5 for reset
3D:
F1: slowly move
F2: normal move
F3: faster move
Right mouse click: XY move
F4 and Right mouse click: move Z
F5 and Right mouse click: rotate with showing coordonates
F6 and F7 and Right mouse click: bend objects when possible
F10: remove landscape.

Wow.

Can't wait to play with that, having spent some time recently capturing roads/railways/damage tiles for Fortress Malta!

I put your posts all together in a doc file. Could you check it and remove mistakes if necessary or add complements?

Dore has just sent me complete support for the Balaton map, following his Philippines map contribution a few weeks ago.

Great job Dore!

And, Iasi and Odessa, plus Kiev (two versions), plus 3 versions of The Slot, with more to come. That takes us over 50 maps supported in SEOW.

Dore is amazing! Everyone send chocloates to Dore!

I have trouble adjusting the bridges on the map that have been nicely and look quite good.

The SEOW_Routes_Tool_v1.1 doesn´t seem to work for me ( I do have the makros activated in Office 2007).
1st question is:
How can I make the excel sheet work?

To go a bit into detail, let´s look at MAP Crimea/LAL_crimeasummer
According to the WIKI:
If I wanted to add bridge number 64 I would have to look for #-65

219100.00 96700.00 -65.00
219300.00 96700.00 -65.00

Here we have the X coordinates 219100.00-219300.00 and the Y coordinates 96700.00-96700.00.
The length is:
= SQRT((X1-X2)*(X1-X2) + (Y1-Y2)*(Y1-Y2))
= SQRT((219100.00-219300.00)*(219100.00-219300.00) + (96700.00-96700.00)*(96700.00-96700.00))
= SQRT((200)*(200) + (0)*(0)) = 200

So far so good.
When looking at the bridge coordinates in the database there is only one x and y coordinate.

2nd Question is:
Do I only take the mean of the 2X and 2Y corrdinates?
X coordiane = (219100.00+219300.00):2 = 219200.00 ???
