New Set-up - Need Help

Post by VT-51_Thud »

Greetings all. Cobraj and I created a new SEOW Server and we are noticing a few problems and was hoping someone might know what we did wrong. :?

We set-up an Okinawa Database but it doesn't show highlighted in the MP. We also noticed that it is not showing anything in the Stats page.
Database was initialized and one mission was analyzed.

Hi Thud,

I can see the directory structure of your MP, but no PHP script is operational, at least not now anyway. Are you sure that PHP is correctly installed on your web server?

Cheers,

Thank you for checking. Does this tell you anything that may be causing this problem? It was working previously so sometime last night we must have accidently changed something.

The logs on our server suggested a group permission thing but that was set as suggested.

I guess sometimes you got to be carefull of what you wish for. Now that I have more capabilites to manage the server the deeper I get into trouble.

Hi Thud,

Put Register Globals on. That may help. Until you get PHP working, the MP has no chance of working.

Thank you for the replies 4Shades. Cobraj reloaded the files but I still have some stuff to work out.

Hi Thud,

We need to find out what version of PHP is being used. One good way to do this is to create a file containing:

Code: Select all

<?php phpinfo(); ?>
and stick on the web server, and point your browser at it. If PHP is working it should spit back a big, formatted list of the PHP install version and supported libraries.

Roger, thank you sir. . See PM.

I believe we have not completed the database steps correctly. I'm researching now to set-up the lite versions.

Success! It appears the DB Import was aborting so we needed to run it several times before it could pull all the files in.

Thank you for all the help and all the forum topics. 8)

Any Ideas why I might get this error? I loaded the Lite version into the DB.

DB: SEDB32D_TheSlotOct43_extinserts.sql
to DB Slot1043Lite

In DCS - can you connect to your DB from "Database Settings" ?

Yes, it shows connected. When I click "make database connection" it goes through the opening...reading...writing...deleting...closing...successful! and I get a green light.

Or, maybe not.

I looked at the original MIS and one I created using Slot Oct 43 Map and they both say:

Check up your Sector_Seasons table. I guess The Slot Oct 43 is missing:
