New Setup not highlighting on planner.

Post by deadfred »

I have initialized a campaign through DCS and it appears to work fine, except after a minute or so it pops up an error with HTML

Code: Select all

Web service completed with the following response...
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

[]<head>

Ive used this server before to host DCS and had no problem... not sure whats up here. PHP is functioning cause I can get into the mp, just no units show up or anythign once I initialize it.

edit: the page it is accessing is: http://teqsun.com/seow/MP4public/Scripts/default.php

Hi deadfred,

The text "Web Service completed with the following response ... " is issued by the DCS whenever the "DCS Web Script URL" field in the DCS Remote Functions tab has a value that is neither "undefined" nor empty.

So I suspect that there might be some kind of text in the "DCS Web Script URL" field that is causing an inappropriate HTTP post to fire. For 99% of all SEOW campaigns, there is no need to use the "DCS Web Script URL" field.

Even so, this should not be breaking normal campaign initialization etc. Can you send me your template so I can inspect it? Also, are you showing "Informational Pop-ups" on the DCS front screen? They can sometimes alert you to things that have gone wrong.

Finally, some recommendations. You should update your MP to at least v4.722, or later if you can use the MPAutoUpdater. Also, please let me know your DB and DCS versions in all bug reports, otherwise I have to guess too much! :)

Cheers,
4S
