4 planes in MP turns out to be 1 in the mission

Post by Mhondoz »

Hi.

Sorry if this is already covered in the docs or the forum. I am testing SEOW, using the Operation Typhoon Moscow template. Sometimes when I have scheduled a flight of four aircraft, it turns out to be only one aircraft when I generate the mission? Observed with both Allied and Axis side. On the orders accept page it says Allocated Strength: 4.

Edit:
Just after I posted, I noticed the Aircraft Breakdowns functionality. Could this be why it happens?

Well, if you have a breakdown rate greater than 0%, yes. :)

That did the trick! :) Set the breakdown rate to 10%, and now my flights are filled up. Wonder why it was set much higher for Axis than Allied by default... is this done by the template?

I think it is a bad default setting in the DB. When you start a new campaign, commence by using the Restore "Factory Default" Campaign Settings button in the DCS Campaign Modes tab. That will set everything to sensible values and you can go from there.
