Technics and Rockets files

Post by IV/JG7_4Shades » Thu Feb 14, 2013 5:56 pm

Hi everyone,

RL has me very busy at the moment. Before I release the "Korosten Mod" pack with technics, rockets and radio files, I thought I would just release Emil's draft technics and rockets files for people to test with.

Here they are: Korosten technics and rockets

Please post here with issues.

Cheers,
4S

@Ikey:
try Notepad++
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

or you try the Technics Procesor Tool

I found speed errors in:
[DemagFlak]
[OpelBlitzMaultierAA]
[OpelBlitz6700A]
[OpelBlitz6700A_medic]
[OpelBlitz6700A_radio]
[OpelBlitz6700A_fuel]
[OpelBlitzMaultier]
[DemagD7]
[ZIS6_fuel]
[DiamondT_US]
[Tractor_US]
[Bicycle]

Corrected and sent to 4Shades.

We need to check the AA of the trains to make sure their don´t aim lower than 3°.

By the way, I just enhanced the Technics Processor Tool to correctly read the flak objects, and to ignore aircraft and ships. I think it works better now.

Excellent!!!

But there seems to be another issue. Scannon i.e. cannot read/see the values for [PzVIE] in Firefox.
I however can in Chrome/Iron

I developed the page for Firefox, and I can see PzVIE in Firefox. I am puzzled.

I think the problem is that he connect to an out of date technics tool, i.e. 188.40.123.132

No, we checked that. We can reproduce his problem using the v6 technics file you published Emil. v4 works fine, but v6 not.

Investigating!

Alright, I think we have it. The Technics Processor Tool requires the input technics.ini file to have "UTF-8" character encoding. Emil has used some special characters in his comments that were not recognized by TPT unless I change the file encoding. Seems to work now.

Here is the re-encoded file.

Is it special character compatibel now, or should I leave out the characters in the future?

Well it works now I think. Just make sure you don't change the encoding when you edit it, I guess.
