MTO end....
Hi all!
This conclude MTO campaign, and the third phase is impossible without serious redesign,so for our late comers, I'll try to make the whole picture.
At the beginning...
When we recived invitation to join MTO campaign almost 9 month ago,I thought "Great,it will be fun until summer and I can just fly without thinking about anything".VARP joined red side on NE sector. From mission 4. situation dictated for VARP,Fins,StG77 and few independent pilots, to switch to blue side and I become commander of NE sector with CountZero as air planner.
The job was to try to stop veterans from 102nd,IAF,JG77 and few elements of EAF in "Operation Crusader" and to capture Tobruk.
I think we succeed in that job.It was hard because of limited resources for blue and the opponent was tuff.
First phase ended with draw in both sectors
Story....
Petr asked should he prepare the stage for phase2 and we said yes. Many squads had something else in mind and didn't want to go in to phase two. Few of us who stayed had to rebuild our teams from scratch.I was really sorry when EAF51 left us. They are just great pilots, but we just could not persuade them to stay. What can I say, they missed the fun,not we.
Only SUP and part of 6S kept their word and in my eyes they have huge +, both as pilots and gents!
So,thanks mostly to CountZero and his online connections we gather enough mans to start.Guys from 310,311,Java,Letka13,Orel,and independent peoples joined StG77 and JG77,which were backbone,on red side. On blue side,JG26,our old friends from DBS,later in campaign JG7 joined SUP,VARP and Ler3.Of course we had few one man band guys on blue side who really know the job.
I refused to be commander because i wanted to start making Kursk campaign, and was only consultant to =VARP=Kaso who took the commander job.
Around mission 7 Petr got sick, had no time and got, let say, "material fatigue" and there were no one else to take the admin job...so i took it.
I missed those tactical meetings with Blue guys, but anyway, Kaso didn't need help anymore.
I remember 102nd_Devill once said it is a shity job to be a admin. Now I understand why and would like to add, it is even worst if you didn't wrote the rules. Many situations are not just black or white. Not even close.
But I've tried to do my best and avoid negotiation situations "Give me that I'll give you something else" and run this campaign as best i could following Petr's rules.
Sometimes I was so unhappy with the rules that were ported from phase 1 to phase 2 without any mention about that in phase 2 rules. Like in situation where Reds got back every destroyed DD and CA after 3 missions and because of that in almost all missions Blue spent 60%+ bombers to deal with the ships ...over and over again. We destroyed more ships than England ever built:) But rules were rules.
The good....
Anyway it was a really fun campaign.Reds are excellent pilots, nobody can deny that. I didn't know guys before, but now,I'll have to be very careful when we meet online. Without excellent enemy the campaign would not be interested. At least for me.
Also didn't know any of JG26 guys, but they impressed me also!
The bad...
We had a little confrontations few times on TS about different things, but I guess it is a must to argue with your enemies so you can hate him...just a little...to have no regret when you shoot him down:) Of course we all know that we are not the real enemies, and any argue is closed with end of this campaign.
The ugly...
I guess it's me ha ha...or Petr ha ha:)Seriously,I am sorry that I didn't check the last mission more than 15 minutes. If i did,I would see that there is something else beside that ATG88 (which was fixed) what ruin our game from around 25th minute in the game. Will check, but it's not important now anyway. We decided last night to end this in a way that we all disconnect and I'll un check "force landing or KIA" and our personal stats will not be ruined. The ground war and AI flights continued until the end of the mission.
Check Victory sheet later during the day for final word.
Until then, everyone can go in and use username=admin and password=all
NE Sector is added also and use the same admin password to see everything.**
All in all we all learned something,we met new guys, had some fun and i hope we have a crew for some future wars.
Salute to all pilots from both phases and thank you for your participation in MTO campaign!
Also big thanks to Petr who design the whole thing and gave us many adrenalin evenings.
P.S. Count and me are in the middle of work on,how they called it,mother of all battles.Battle of Kursk will be created on new map which we created for this purpose to be able to include both pincers of real battle on the same map.Campaign is planned for middle September and it will be announced here when the times comes...and if Mr 4S allow it.
Until then check the progress of construction on http://thorftp.tk/seow/MP4public/Script ... Status=new

Re: MTO end....
Nice job to all. Congrats to the red side for a valiant fight. I'm proud of the work done by the blue guys, just perfect.
Special thanks to Count, Thor, Kaso and Untamo. Also kudos to SUP and DBS for kickass bomber job, JG/26, JG/7, LeLR3 for a good fighter action, and a very special thanks to my VARP guys for excellent job, as per usual. One more big thanks to anyone I haven't mentioned but participated in this campaign.
Hopefully the Kursk campaign will be much, much more fun with more fun air war, and a significant A-G action.
Hope to see you guys again in the sky. Until then, good hunting.

Re: MTO end....
In the name of SUP Squadron I want to thanks all who were involved in this SEOW campaign.
First of all Petr/Glenn for the preparation of this very very complex and complete scenario.
=VARP=Thor, without who we would not be able to finish this second phase of the campaign.
The Commanders of both sides, Kaso and Countzero for their hard duty.
And, of course, all the pilots we flew with or against, it was nice to fly with old and new Friends.
SUP pilots (and our friend 6S_Gheppio) had a lot of fun flying this SEOW for different reasons, first it was flown over the Med and, as SUP was formed to remember the action of Regia Aeronautica during WW2, that is our "home", second we experienced flying as a whole bomber group and, last but not least, this is the first campaign where we won as blue side
Jokes apart, again many thanks to all and see You soon in the virtual skies.

Great Job in picking up the Campaign gents. Will certainly see you at Kursk. Nice looking map btw.
Thank You Petr/Glenn for all the work you put in to get this going. Didn't have the puter power to play in Phase 1 but thoroughly enjoyed flying in Phase 2.
Good Flying all.

Re: MTO end....
First time we (Letka 13, Orel, Letka Tri Duby) flew SEOW campaign. I was invited by CountZero into this. Carrier operation was main reason for me to join. But we lost all carriers soon. So 11 pilots joined camapaign from three virtual squads. We all had pleasure fly with our friends against skilled oponents. Thanks to all admins, commanders, planners and pilots for this BIG adventure. We will join some next capaings in the future, I am sure!

As Seow addicted, we're also good ground attack pilots, as demostrated during other MTO Seow flown years ago. We're also He-129 B2 specialists against Allied armour in the desert. We could resume training on He-129, Ju87G and Fw 190...
