Mission was run - very exciting, so tank action in and around the village.
On a technical note, IFA2 does not do a good job of reporting tank damage status. I have written an A2 script to handle this automatically, so you *can* destroy a tank by shooting it repeatedly and be confident that the tank will indeed be counted as destroyed by SEOW.

Re: Zhitomir 0800 Mission: Ushomir is Live
From the 0900 mission onwards we should start to see confirmed tank kills. In order to get a tank kill you may have to hit a tank a few times from different angles to kill enough different parts (left and right hull, front, rear, turret, tracks) to amount to destruction. The weaker your gun the more hits you may need.
Typically, the Tiger needs only a couple of well-placed hits to destroy any tank, but a T-34-76 may have to work a lot harder against a Panther.
The best way to tell whether you have killed a tank is to see a bright orange pyre of flame surrounding it, as in the picture below. The picture below also shows some internal scripting code messages which will not be visible in SEOW missions.
Just seeing a few flames near hatches does not signify a successful kill.
