DD pilots please read
Hi guys,
A few DD pilots have registered for June 1942 recently (after the closing date), and some have applied for Axis affiliation, and some for Allied.
The applications are OK, and the pilots can fly as freelancers (without guaranteed seats), but I am wary of splitting them up among Axis and Allied without wider approval. Can the DD pilots please advise here what their internal organization is, and how many more there are likely to be?
Cheers,
4Shades

That is strange. I clearly indicated on our own forums that we were flying ALLIED, in the Kuban sector with AVG, 69GIAP and whomever else is there.
I know we do have a large contingent of Euro pilots and when they expressed interest I advised them to look around and find a sector in their time zone (I'm North American) and see if they could join a group.
I will post in our forums a general announcement and see what the heck is going on. My appologies.
I agree and recommend that you do not allow any DD's on the AXIS side as several of us are already ALLIED as mentioned and that just would not sit well.
EDIT: I posted on our forums to clear this up. I hope I'm not upsettting anyone in my own squad but have informed them that we need to be ALLIED because some have already joined that side.
Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for bring this to my attention.

i have applied for axis side and asked 15./JG 52 to fly with them.
the rest of the DD's r on American timezone so i can't fly with them anyhow.
but if this is a security problem i'll try to find a squad on allied side.

Gec, you should clear this with your C.O.(whether you can fly axis). As I told you already, you are most welcome to fly with us, but we have very limited number of planes/slots so our members have priority.
If your squad goes strictly allied, I am sure that 102nd will be happy to have you fly with them as well ( and they have much more slots&planes than us, so making room for you I suppose would not be a problem with them). Cmirko or Bogida from 102nd. are the right persons to speak about this.
