PQ16 Campaign MOD

3. Advanced Barrage mode (After EXPERT) can be disabled.
PQ16 Mod overwrites it.

III STAGE - MOD REQUIRED - Edit 26th of May


that is mandatory for any player.

III Stage Mods settings:
1. HSFX history mod
2. EXPERT mode
3. Advanced Barrage mode (After EXPERT) - deprecated
4. PQ16 Campaign Mod
5. Barents Sea Map correction
6. Perfect Map Textures (optional)
7. Exe 384MB or Exe 512MB (optional)

PQ16 Campaign Mod Contents:
- Transferring MOD
- Customized Technics (seow) (new)
Instructions:
- Put the new PQ16CampaignMod.rar into the JSGMEMODS folder and extract there. You'll find a new mod called "PQ16 Campaign Mod".

Barents Sea Map correction Mod Contents:
- Correction for Nautsi airbase. Trees on Nautsi runway removed. A big thanks to Geoff (242sqn_Cat). At the moment it's a mod to be added, once included in the next HSFX releases you could disable it.
Instructions:
- Put into the game ROOT and EXTRACT there. You should find a new mod folder called "Barents Sea Map correction"

Exe 384MB or Exe 512MB (optional)
The mod improves your IL2 dedicated RAM (96 MB on stock, 256 MB on History).
Barents Sea is a heavy map and PQ16 is a large campaign.
IL2 dedicated RAM is increasing as long as the mission goes on.
It is possible you can saturate your standard IL2 dedicated RAM; that's why you could enable more memory to be allocated to Il2.exe process.
- Go to HSFX V6 Tools & Read me's/Ivans il2 exe's folder and you should find a rar file containing all version of the mod. Extract there, choose the folder you want and copy it into the JSGMEMODS folder. Enable the mod.
Remember to check it out before playing the campaign mission. Someones have experienced game loading errors with larger ram mod file.

NB: Disable all MODS before updatings.

Being a bit dumb as I am always unconfident withthe mods thing until I get used to it but:
Have downloaded folder.
dragged and dropped whole folder (PQ16 Campaign) into JSGME folder in Game folder
It appears in my JSGME shortcut when I open
but as I go to enable it I get a warning:
see bottom of page below.

Is it OK to continue or do I need to do something different at any stage?

Hi,

can one of the admins/designers please generate and send me a changelog of the technics file?

I would like to know what is customized since the campaign briefing doesn't mention this kind of details.

I adopted the seow-techincs.ini provided by 4shades in the factory MPpublic/technics/ folder.
Use the Technics tool integated in any MP to review the data.

The Mod contains the Transferring Mission Mod and the technics.in customized.

same here.
Also in advance - will this replace last mod in JSMG folder or add to it?
Hence in JSMG tool we need to add this across to active mods etc?

You were right: I had modified the filename and the link was broken.

That is an ADDITIONAL MOD.
That's why if a new HSFX version will be released, you will not need this additional MOD any more but you will still need the PQ16 MOD. So it's better to keep them separated.

Can a full list of required and optional mods be posted please? There is confusion what to be used in addition to these two mods mentioned above.

OK done Diego ^^

Just one remark:

The Advanced Barrage mode overwrites the technics.ini of the EXPERT mode, that's correct. Then, when we activate the PQ16 Campaign Mod, the technic.ini is overwritten again.

This means that the Advanced Barrage mode will not work, except if the PQ16 Campaign Mod was built including the Advanced Barrage mode. Perhaps you did it?
