Very interesting idea. It does however produce an unrealistic notion that you can instantly load and unload freight and continue on. To me this is a little on the gamey side of campaigning but I acknowledge that I am a SEOW realist as much as possible where operations in game are concerned. I would ...

Thanks for that. Pictures do help. The blank status field when the confirmation screen comes up is clearly an issue. I do notice however that your mission planner version is currently still at v6.0.0. Not that I would think that this should make a difference as the sub features have been around alon...

So when you go to submerge the subs do you get a message box that confirms you want to submerge the sub and that the current status is surfaced. If so and you continue then do you see the confirmation screen that the status has changed? Edit: and is the MP open for planning for next mission and your...

Thats the range they can travel surfaced or submerged. A sub can go for thousands of Km on the surface and not far submerged before having to surface to recharge batteries.

The engagement range is different also as a surfaced sub can obviously see a lot further but can also fire main gun and AAA.

Welcome EaglePryde, 4Shades is the ulimate authority but I'll have a go at answering some of your questions. My apologies in advance for any omissions or errors I may give you. As mentioned below many of us users are always learning new features and forgetting old ones. 1.) If i setup commanders and...

Yes I understand.
I was thinking that changing the table values fixes the MP problem but maybe breaks the mission file for camera's nationality alignment in game unless the DCS converts the values from letters to numbers during mission build?

Camera alignments are done as numbers as they can be assigned to many different coloured sides that can be used in a dogfight map and not just r and g or n. All up there are 16 different colours plus "none" that a static camera can be assigned to in IL2 represented by number eg. 1=red, 2=b...

Hi Classic, is the server dedicated to just running the mission with no one playing it? That is a key point to getting high server frame rates as also noted by Gec's post above which is the same procedure for the server I use when hosting. It can be the difference between playable and unplayable in ...

Maybe you need to run IL2 as Administrator so it can write files to that location being in a C:/Program Files(x86) sub directory?

I think I know whats going on. The Detachment Campaign database as downloaded at the moment isn't up to date with current V6.0 database or DCS v6.0.x requirements. Doh! Sorry I didn't think of that when I got you onto that last night (it was very early in the morning here). There are a number of dat...

There is the template sets that are held at SourceForge but I'm not sure that 4Shades still maintains that as there are more maps now days and many more campaigns have been run. The templates there are reasonably old I think but maybe 4Shades will post new additions there?

With the new map addition in 6.04 is there a reference DB update to include new map and a new Burma_extinserts.sql? I updated my MP but it wont work (ie.see below) till I get the new map into the reference DB. "Notice: Undefined index: Burma in C:\Apache2\htdocs\SEOW\MP4public\Scripts\default-s...
